St. Joseph's Province, Missionaries of Compassion

ROCCA DI PAPA  – An intense day of faith, emotion, and togetherness. The journey, the cross carried along Via della Conciliazione to St. Peter’s Basilica. Father Thomas concelebrated the Mass.

The parishioners of Rocca di Papa experienced an unforgettable day during their Jubilee pilgrimage to Rome. Leading the group were two priests of St. Joseph’s Province, Missionarie of Compassion, particularly loved by the community: Father Thomas, from the Parish of the Assumption, and Father George, parish priest of the Sacred Heart Parish Church.

For Father Thomas and Father George the pilgrimage was a moment of profound joy: they had the opportunity to concelebrate Holy Mass in the Vatican, an experience described as “a great emotion,” lived with gratitude and spiritual intensity.

During the pilgrim  walk, the faithful carried the Cross along the entire Via della Riconciliazione, a sign of their shared commitment to faith and reflection. The gesture, simple yet full of meaning, helped create an atmosphere of contemplation and unity.

The entire day unfolded in a spirit of religious devotion, prayer, and fraternal sharing, reaffirming the deep value of pilgrimage during the Jubilee Year and leaving all participants with a precious and radiant memory.
